Jameson Caskmates Stout Edition

Drank it slowly during 2020 fall winter in Switzerland. Excellent full taste, especially considering the low price

More than a novelty! Classic honey and shortbread/biscuit notes with a big addition of milk chocolate, rich vanilla and malt notes from the stout barrel finish. Sweet, but not overly so. Not a dram to contemplate over or analyze, but one hell of a fun drink.

Not as crazy about this as traditional Jameson’s. Something slightly different at the beginning. Something significantly different at the end. The end definitely finishes with the cask. The wood or cork is there.

Absolutely fantastic. Jameson appears to be a perfect choice given its soft flavors to be used to impart flavor upon. Anyone who loves both whiskey and dark beer would be in heaven. Would absolutely not be an everyday drinker for me due to its very unique profile but it’s a surefire choice to be stocked in my cabinet.
