Jim Beam Bonded Bourbon

Liked this way more than I thought I would. This is white label Beam with a punch. Sweet corn comes through big time, not too hot and not too weak. This is actually pretty damn good.

Vanilla, oak, caramel, minty finish Better with water - more brown sugar

In intense bourbon, with a rarely seen price-quality ratio. An absolute buy! Score strongly influenced by the ridiculously low price point. High quality, high abv, low price. What's not to like? Dark and intense bourbon, relatively dry and bitter. The charred virgin barrel has certainly a strong influence here. Red berries like raspberry, and charred oak. A bit dusty (I like that) like the Knob Creek. Good balance, but the intensity is really the highlight.

Classic Jim Beam, just more of it and more in your face (due to the higher proof vs white label). Lots of honey on the nose, with more spice than normal. Palate is butterscotch mixed with lots of pepper. The spice from the pepper is prominent through the finish, which ends quickly. Mouth feel is creamy just like the classic white label.

As a fan of Beam this was a given I would enjoy it. Fantastic nose and palate, typical bourbon notes done very well: sweet caramel, butterscotch, tons of vanilla and a little nutmeg like spice. A great finish on a very nice, easy drinking whiskey. Possibly one of the best values out there.

boring. too tart, not complex enough for a whiskey aficionado. sweet but bitter. avoid it
