smell: honey, toffee, not very alcoholic, sweet taste: oaky, sweet, VERY spicy, light, aftertaste fades quickly

Jim Beam Original sets the standard for straight bourbon whiskey. Its complex nose features the perfect blend of pipe tobacco, vanilla, caramel, and baking spice, while the palate is highlighted by sweet black tea with a subtle hint of pipe tobacco. The finish is a bold and spicy combination of hot cinnamon and allspice.

Its drinkable but the flavor is weak, other than that unique “Jim Beam” bitey corn thats mostly on the nose. I’d keep it around for putting in coke or egg nog where its not prominent.

For the moneh and availability, this a pretty good whiskey. Certainly not the best out there, but a decent value.
