Taste: the peatiness and smokiness is more intense and sharp on the taste. Some leather
Finish: long-lasting peatiness and bitterness
Nose: smoke, oaky, a bit of medicinal bitterness, sweetness
Palate: creamy, pungent upfront,, which is getting more dominant towards the late palate. Underlying caramel sweetness and somkiness during the palate.
Finish: moderate spices, oak, coffe bitterness, smoke, sweetness
Much better than normal black for me. More refined, less spice dominant.

Need a reliable easy drinking smoky whisky? Knowing your hard earned £25-35 will not be wasted on a tempting supermarket shelf gamble ? Just get double black! It’s no Ardbeg, but it doesn’t need to be , it’s a friendly but brilliant blend, don’t be a single malt snob , your missing out on a bargain
Light caramel and orange peel nose, explosive brown sugar and peat opening on the tongue, evolving to a a bland, soda-water bitterness with no real body, but smooth, smooth finish.
