Johnnie Walker Gold Label Reserve

This whisky has some pleasant notes, but on my palate there's some roughness around the edges that I didn't like. Having now tasted Black, Green, Gold, and 18 (Platinum), this one is on the bottom of the Walker list for me.

Semi-blind taste. No toast or smoke on the nose at all, more like a fruited dessert. It's a pleasant but largely character-free taste, save for some very late wooden tannins in the finish.

Peaty, Smokey, oak

Slight Smokiness, and a nice medium bitter taste, complemented by a thick coated mouthfeel.

A while ago I had tried this for the first time and got more of a smoke note than any other flavour from this bottle. Now, a year later I get completely new tasting notes than previously. I find it to be sweeter than the first time i tried it. The nose is lightly smoky and the pallet has a lot more honey sweetness now than before paired with a nice light peat smoke. Easy to drink, gets smoother as you go.
