Johnnie Walker Red Label

Nose: sweetness, vanilla, brown sugar, hazelnut? Palate: little bit of oaky peat Finish: some spice, doesn't linger

Had to try this one on my run of basic whiskeys. Could never settle on what the flavor profile was. Sometimes enjoyable sometimes it fell flat. Black label much better.

This was my introduction to Scotch, but I won’t let this ruin it. Wasn’t a fan, lacked flavor expected in a whiskey and the burn was pretty rough on swallow.

Rich and sweet with vanilla, oak and a decent bit of peat

A bit of smoke, with touches of sweetness and spices. Noticeable chemical taste when drank neat. Not much else to say. Its saving grace is its price where I live. Not much else at its price point with its characteristics. Better on ice than neat.
