Tastes

Solid neat. Has the mix of sweetness and spice I like in whiskeys with its own character. Stands up with ice as well. Folks like it cuz it's cheap, but there's more to like than that, haha.

My least favorite scotch so far. Got used to it by the bottom but used it as a mixer as a last ditch effort.

Continuing my love, surprisingly, of Irish whiskeys! Did not like this one as much as Bushmills, but it does stand with Jameson and above Proper 12. Took me a while to get used to it, but it does have the distinctive bell vibe that I associate with Irish whiskey. Could not explain to you what I mean by bell vibe, btw, haha. Primarily had it neat.

My third scotch and the only one not Johnny Walker, this was really enjoyable. Has a sweetness and also is the first Scotch where I tasted smokiness. Will revisit :)

My third Irish whiskey so far, and I really like it! It has a clearness to it that compliments it and eases off the sweetness, which is just the right amount. Don't like the association with the comment about Protestants, I don't watch The wire. A solid dram!

I had a bottle of a small batch from this brand a year before I started drinking things neat. Going through a phase of buying cheap bourbons and this one is pretty solid. Fairly certain that the small batch bottle was tastier than I could appreciate. This has a smoothness and sweetness to it that is rounded out in a pleasant way with a slight spice.

Bought this one and only later found out it's association with Connor mcgregor. Oof. That said, it's a fine whiskey. Grew on me. A clearer taste than Jameson. Heard this described as connected to and similar to bushmill so will try that next.

A vast improvement from the red label. Has a distinct profile and sips nice.

Had to try this one on my run of basic whiskeys. Could never settle on what the flavor profile was. Sometimes enjoyable sometimes it fell flat. Black label much better.
