It offers a prophecy of things to come, as well as an intermediate way-station, as Kavalan is currently aging whisky distilled from a peated mash bill.

Tasting Notes
"A honeyed nose takes center stage with hay and floral notes, and peat aromas are found only in the background. It then comes on much stronger with on the palate, which also showcases tropical fruits such as kiwi, guava, coconut and melon. A darker clover-honey emerges, moving into a dry finish with charcoal and peat, and only background sweetness. The peat is "clean", i.e., not salty or iodine, more of a campfire earthiness, dug-out-from-the-ground peat."
