Kikori Whiskey

Definitely not smooth, but very pleasantly floral - lavender, anise, mint candy

Very honeyed nose, with floral notes. Amazingly mild, turning to a moderate, apple-fruited burn, and finishing with hints of wood and grass.

Not what I was expecting from a Japanese whiskey, which is a good thing. I've only tasted a handful some of which I feel were overpriced for the quality. But this one is great, full of flavor (nose and palate), the mouthfeel is very silky with a tad bit of sharpness on the finish. I don't like licorice much but that subtle hint of it with the apple flavor is pretty exquisite.

This is a Rice whiskey. It is extremely delicate and floral so if you are looking for robust flavors like Scotch this is not it. Be careful in mixing because the Liquor is very delicate and will lose character fast
