4.5 stars - Superb; 750 ml bottle This is an exceptional whiskey. It is the real deal: aroma, mouthfeel, flavor, and packaging are all spot on. Great on day one, great on day 120. Tastes like Talisker 10 year plus a squirt of lemon Pledge. Trust me, it works.

Nose: Sweet, syrup, light peat, dried fruit, Bakewell tart Palate: Smooth, oily, fruit - pear & orange rind, vanilla, buttercream, honey Finish: Medium finish, lemon / citrus, salty, grapefruit. Light smoke. 70% ex-bourbon, 30% ex-sherry casks Nice mouthfeel. Lightly oily, sweet, citrus and salt - all nicely layered. The gentle smoke and peat give this a lift without overpowering.

For being 46%, this singed my nose hairs a bit! Slight syrupy texture and a medicinal/botanical start. Extremely mild peat. With a bit of water it opened up and cinnamon and a briny soapy(?) finish.

Nice light smoke throughout, opens up well with a little water.
