Distilled at The Brown-Forman Distillery, King of Kentucky is a brand which was resurrected in 2018 and relaunched as a Kentucky straight bourbon whiskey. It is released annually as single barrel at barrel strength. The 6th expression in the series is a bourbon that was distilled on July 19, 2007 that entered the barrel at 125 proof.
It is made from a mash bill of 79% corn, 11% rye, and 10% malted barley. It was released in fall of 2023 with a minimum age of 16 years, limited to 51 barrels with approximately 3,800 bottled produced. Note: proof varies by barrel bottling, typically between 125 to 135 proof.

"The nose is like leather-bound books had been stored in an attic with sachets of baking spices and dried fruits. The palate has a cherry cough syrupy fruitiness and denseness to it, with loads of dusty spices and cracked leather. The leatheriness leads the finish, with hints of dried cherry and spice. "
