Very lemony and herbal. Strong sour note that is overpowering.

Solid i like the barley

Nose: cereal, citrus Palate: malt, earth, slight smoke Finish: rich, ethanol Not bad but a bit rough.

Nothing wrong with it, just wasnt expecting all the peat. Id take it over scotch

Nose: lemon, malt Palate: peat, lemon, char, malt Finish: oily, malty Tastes a bit young but there’s a decent amount of depth. The peat adds good body and earthiness to the whisky, if more smoke came through I think it would be directly comparable to Lagavulin 8 year.

They seem to be selling the scotch flavor profile on this one, but there is a thick mouthfeel on the single malt that tells you this is undeniably American bourbon.
