Kirkland Bottled-in-Bond Kentucky Bourbon by Barton 1792

Nose: Sweet Banana Bread, Honey, and Light Baking Spice. Palate: Light Fruit (Pear? Banana? Not a berry), Honey, and Light Oak. Although appearing thin, it yeilds a medium mouthfeel. Finish: Honey and Familair Banana Bread Notes from the Nose. Suprisingly Little Warmth. Thoughts: At ~$20 for a 1L bottle, I was pleasantly surprised. Will buy again.

The nose is pleasant enough with light notes of vanilla and caramel, but this drinks quite hot for a 100 proof and since it is BiB it has to be at least 4 years old but I doubt it’s any more than that. Finish is short with pepper on the back end and just one I won’t reach for that often.

Mild, easy drinking and balanced. Barrel spice forward with a sweet oak. Milk chocolate. Lingering oak tannin finish.
