4th pour out of this bottle.
Green bananas, nilla wafers, play dough, and hints of baking spices on the nose.
Semisweet and viscous on the palate, nothing else really stands out. There is a general sense of warmth and spice.
Finish is medium length, a little hot, somewhat bitter, baking spices, more green bananas and slight vanilla note.
Tastes like Bushmills. Not impressive.
Nose like a japanese whiskey. Light like a fruit orchard in the crisp spring air before the fruit is ripe. Palate is light again with the sweetness from the ex bourbon casks and fruity from the ex oloroso casks. Finish with a slight bite to make you feel warm and cozy. Smooth and maybe creamy?
Never heard of this distillery and want more of it. Quite like it. A well made whiskey that demonstrates the skill of the distiller. Perfect for a hot day when you want a light, uplifting dram.
Nose- similar notes to the 12, citrus
Body- brighter than the 12 with higher alcohol content, citrus zest is more orange here
Finish- ah, there’s the grapefruit and lemkn grass, another nice offering from Knappogue
