Knob Creek 9 Year Small Batch Bourbon

Bar pour on the rocks at the ballpark. Bold peanut and apple nose. Oily feel with sweet vanilla giving way to spice on the back end and a medium finish. Really enjoyed this as a sipper, even if it had to be out of a compostable plastic cup.

Nose: vanilla, beam nutty, oak Taste: Peanutbutter, vanilla, zest, oak Finish: delicious charred oak and peanutbutter

Nose: not very strong, earthy, nutty, tobacco, vanilla Taste: sweet, tobacco, bitterness at the end, Finish: long lasting almost medicinal taste

Love this knob! Great price for a 9 year bourbon. Rich and deep. Great nose. Medium finish.

Apple

Body is a light caramel with a medium to high viscosity. Nose is burnt sugar and caramel. Slight hints of oak. Mouth feel is pleasant, sticks to your tongue. Palate starts with a very little burn that leads into vanilla and honey with hints of wood and oak. Finishes with a slight burn and oaky tannins. Surprised by how easy it sips for 100 proof. Maybe my palate is just getting used to higher proofs.
