Knob Creek Single Barrel Select Bourbon

First Knob Creek barrel pick I have ever tried and certainly won’t be the last. All I can say is this is one of my top 5 pours and it will not disappoint. The color is very dark almost a burnt mahogany color. On the noise I get cherry vanilla cola and a hint of oak. The palate starts out like a a sweet cherry chocolate cordial followed by loads of baking spices and a warm Kentucky hug. The finish is lingering with oak, cherry pits, and just of touch of peanut shells. The finish is long and gives a nice mouth coating with lots of barrel notes and char, love this pour. This one will hit you. However, it's got a unique flavor to it. Notes of maple, cinnamon, peanut chocolate, apple, honey, and even some ginger notes.

Barrel pick from Binnys (best stores in the Chicago area). Warehouse P, Floor 4, Rick 020. I've had other releases before which are solid, but this is simply great. Peanut butter, fudge, caramel. Drinks lower than 120 proof. Tried some 94 Elijah Craig next to this, and it was somehow sweeter. Beautiful dark amber. This one is hard to beat.
