RyeUnlike bourbon, rye whiskey can be made anywhere in the world. But if made in the US, the mash bill recipe must be at least 51% rye and it must be aged in new, charred oak barrels with no age requirement. Elsewhere, the rye whiskey will be made keeping the country of origin's rules regarding the recipe and minimum aging.

Tasting Notes
"Kooper Family Rye is an interesting expression of rye whiskey's more herbal tendencies. On the nose, a sturdy cocoa power aroma is complimented by peppermint and toasted corn. On first sip, the mint is joined by black pepper and roasted almonds. From from to back, the palate is punctuated with dark, dry barrel tannin, which should help it to hold well with sweeter mixers."
