Appearance: light caramel color, decent legs for what I'd guess is a younger bourbon
Nose: Sweets and grains up front, with some sweeter fruit notes, almost like fig newtons. Off to a good start
Palate: Very sweet palate, not as oily as I'd guess based off the legs. Reminds me of a wheated bourbon, with a bit of sweet corn, not the usual bready wheat. This could be the millet?
Finish: Pretty short and disappointing. A little tangy with a soft mouth feel, maybe a bit of port wine? Meh
This was a cool drink, just off the inclusion of millet. It's certainly unique. I'm not a fan of overly sweet bourbons, but this is approachable for a beginner. The finish is where it loses me. Cool idea
