Nose: A very distinct aroma but hard to put my finger on..licorice? Sweet bread? Maybe it's the wheated bourbon I'm not used to.
Palate: Apple pie, turns to spice, oak.
Finish: medium length...did not pick up anything new
Overall, I really enjoyed this. Maybe I'm not used to wheated bourbons and might be a little unique for me. I had this at home with a blind tasting along with a few that cost 2 to 3 times and was surprised how I enjoyed it as much as the others. I do enjoy Makers 46 and their some of their select series, just been a while since I've had some. My problem is their are too many bourbons out there to try them all (guess not a bad problem to have).
