Laws San Luis Valley Straight Rye

Nice Rye on a cool night. Strong whiff of Rye followed by vanilla, sweet caramel, light oak, and toffee. Rich smells followed the taste of spicy cinnamon, heavy menthol and mint with lingering smoke. Slightly oily

First sniff has notes of syrup, licorice and fruit. First taste has notes of cinnamon, syrup and cloves. Finishing with a spicy finish that leaves a tangy citrus note on my tongue.

Wood, cedar, orange, rye spice, dill

Part of a taster. Not my favorite rye, but far from my least favorite

Nose: candied orange, mint, touch of flowers. Taste: more orange, pepper, a rather cool mint, really nice mouth feel Finish: good rye peppery finish, not too spicy, easily drinkable. Over, very good. Didn't wow me, but a good rye nonetheless.

Neat grain story, mid bourbon Nose: Prominent dill at top. Straight up pickle Notes: Nothing memorable Finish: Ehh
