Lazy River Kentucky Straight Bourbon

Notes of sweetness (vanilla) in smell & taste. Just a little oaky and alcohol. Not my favorite sipper, but would still make a good old fashioned.

So light and sweet. A lot of vanilla flavors and so smooth! Can’t find the mash bill but assuming high corn. I’ll probably use this as a “calm down” Between high proof drinks or if I’m desperate, a mixer. Glad I got it though, better than expected!

The nose starts out like Everclear and with sharp bright notes, but fades into more enjoyable evergreen, dusty corn, and brown sugar, cotton candy tastes. The palate matches the nose with it being bright, young, and sappy, then honey sweet. The finish is bitter and morphs into a sweetness. The motif of this whiskey is it starts bad then hides behind a sweet disguise. I don’t recommend it.

Some flavors, but very hidden. Could use more time in the barrel.
