Tasting Notes
"The nose brings forth a light char smoke and a fruit forward nose (think berries and orange peels) as well as a touch of milk chocolate. As you taste, the bourbon feels moderately full and soft with bittersweet flavors. The taste of the bourbon is mostly found at the midpalate and on the finish. It's surprisingly easy to drink at 114 proof. You can add a splash of water to bring out more of the sherry notes and a bit more sweetness if you like, but that is totally optional. The barrel spices are present but do not dominate. Overall, the influence of the used barrels — particularly the sherry casks and the Yamazaki cask — make this more a world blend than a bourbon. Having said that, it's still very enjoyable. Bring to your next whiskey tasting party and have your guests taste it blind. "
