The higher 48% abv carries the flavors well. It's such a silky smooth, subtle but elegant whisky. It has notes of vanilla, slight baking spices, berries and cream with almonds. It's like a fruit parfait in a glass. The viscosity is so silky, smooth on the tongue as the flavors build mid palate and transition to nice moderately long finish.

Nice pear, honey and light fruit jammy sherry finish. the abv is a nice, hefty 48% which keeps it from being too boring. A bit of spice and a nice medium-full body
Pleasant. Inoffensive. A textbook sherried speyside. It’s easy and very pleasant to drink but not getting anything special or complicated from it.

"Nose: floral sweetness, pear, red apple
Taste: raisin, oak and spice
Finish: long zesty
Very competent, standard Speyside sherried Malt. Great dram, but nothing special. Easy drinker. "

I wish I had the original to compare, but an outstanding whisky nevertheless. A very pleasant Speyside butterscotch and fruity nose, followed by a quick peak of spice on the palate and almost immediately finishes with more butterscotch and malty sweetness. Incredibly smooth for 48% ABV
