Mac-Talla Mara Cask Strength

Sweet, peppery/spicy! Not that peaty as I hoped.

Quite new-make tasting. Gammon smokeyness, salty and faint sweetness, light.

The nose is mild, but has brine, slightly floral, and promises of Islay. The palate is bold lump chocolate, overripe cherries, Christmas rum pudding, and a bit bitter. The finish is sharp, bitter, dry, and short.

Quite a bit of spice and very subtle smoke. Extra points for this excellent bar ambiance

Salty Peaty Smooth Honey Pepper

Buttery Carmel at first. Lots of flavor, almost ashy.

Almost buttery at first, and then spicy. Smokey across the board. A fairly interesting dram.
