Maker's Mark 46 French Oaked

Big fan of 46. This bottle brings on strong corn notes as well as the sweetness you typically get from Makers.

Lots of oak on the nose and throughout the palate (as you would expect based on the stave profile). Caramel also on the palate. Medium-length finish. Not too shabby, but nothing spectacular.

Value is in this dram... Smells of chocolate/honey/ cinnamon/fruit On the palate its warm and toasty not hot at all but mildy warm. It has those hints of a higher price bourbon if it was left in the barrel a longer time than it was tapped for a wheated bourbon... (Think of it as a wheated bourbon premium tease) Its that good for a daily sipper.

Cherry, Buttery, Bread, Vanilla

Nose of caramel, vanilla, oak and maybe citrus. Taste is sweet, the vanilla comes in quick and has a really nice taste to it. It stays creamy and moves into a butterscotch with some caramel and finishes with a hint of spice. Quite tasty, I’m rather surprised.
