Classic Maker's Mark funk - cherry (non-frosted cherry Pop-Tart) and light oak on the nose (some cinnamon as well). Palate is Maker's turned up...cherry pits, barrel, baking spices. Spicy in the finish with a heat that, as they say on the tour of the distillery, vanishes. Leaves behind a nice buttery vanilla sweetness.
Many of the same notes as the classic Maker’s (vanilla, cherry, gentle oak). But it’s a bit more buttery and definitely has more bite as well. There’s also, a bit more spice on the nose that’s very rich.
I think I’d almost prefer it to the classic for neat sipping.
