Color is dark Amber, almost bronze. Nose is initially heavy on the ethanol. Given time to rest, the nose reveals fresh cut wheat, honey, oak, and slight hints of citrus. First sip shows some ethanol heat mixed with honey. Mouthfeel is moderate, not thick but definitely not thin. After the initial proof onslaught, notes of honey, vanilla, and wheat show with each sip, while a slight hint of citrus lingers in the background. The finish is a pleasant hint of heat and a mild drying of the tongue. Overall a good amount of flavor and a solid value.
