Rested 10 minutes. Served neat in a Glencairn.
Nose - definitely a wheater. Burnt caramel, sweet corn, sourdough
Palette - a cold heat, as weird as that sounds. Peppermint, oak, leather, maybe some dark chocolate?
Finish - definitely some heat on it. Spearmint, vanilla, toasted oak. It has a nice chilled heat like a spearmint that lingers for a while. It’s pretty nice.
Overall, a pretty good drinker. Provides a different taste than the rest of my collection. Definitely a nice, sweet wheater. Would not want this if it wasn’t barrel proof. Would be too sweet.
