Maker's Mark Wood Finishing Series 2019 RC6

Aroma - baking spices, brown sugar, subtle oak and vanilla Taste - quite hot. Needed a few drops of water to help open this up. After this, I get same aroma aspects… baking spices, brown sugar. Subtle oak and vanilla. Surprised at the lack of depth on this limited release. Not much of a finish. Flavors are there… then they disappear.

2.5 stars - Very nice; 750 ml bottle I was expecting…more. Am I a victim of my own lofty expectations? Great concept at a good price. Maker’s Mark are class operators.
