Medley Brothers Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey

Nose: high alcohol, moderately high heat, vanilla, slightly overcooked bread Mouth: high heat, high alcohol, banana, sweet

For some reason I love this bourbon for its price range. I usually keep a bottle on hand. A regular drinking whiskey for me

All burn, no complexity. Completely fine for cocktails but not one I’d sip.

Ethanol in the nose is a bit off-putting. Corn crushes it on the palate, along with some raw cereal meal and mild spice. Finishes with character that reminds me of yeast. Almost similar to a beer wort.

Light caramel and wood aroma with some alcohol power to it. Super spicy flavor, hits right from the start. Tons of cinnamon cut with sweetness. Medium body that I wish was heavier, but the flavor is great for the pricepoint.

Canned corn, chocolate on the end, slightly spicy, nice sweetness from the heavy corn presence

A bit rough when drank neat, added a large cube and it helped. Probably best suited for a cocktail.
