It’s hard to read the reviews that wax poetically about its nose qualities and subtle notes of this or that. This is in your face bottom shelf whiskey. It’s only sold because they know someone will just have to try it and then force it on their friends. Mellow Corn smells like rubbing alcohol and tastes like a dirty batch of white lightning and bad decisions. Spend a dozen more dimes and get something else.

A nice light yellow corn whiskey. Nose of corn and light oak. Palate of sweet corn and light oak. Slight heat and a quick finish. Simple, sweet, corn, and oak. It's good for what it is and nothing more. A fun novelty with a cult following. Enjoy it for what it is.
