Mezcal Los Siete Misterios Doba-Yej
Mezcal Siete Misterios was founded in 2010 by Julio and Eduardo Mestre, with the intention of respecting and preserving mezcal making traditions, and bringing value to local producers and communities. Doba-Yej, which translates to espadín in the Zapotec language, is produced outside of Sola de Vegas with double distillation in a copper pot still.
It's bottled at 88 proof. Batch DBY03/20.

Mezcal JovenA spirit distilled from one or more different varieties of agave. Can only be produced in designated areas within 8 different Mexican states. Must be bottled in México. This is unaged or aged in stainless steel or plastic containers before bottling.
Tasting Notes
"Roasted agave shows first on the nose, along with caramelized bananas, lemon zest, black pepper, campfire, and asphalt. The palate is oily, and upfront is all smoky phenolics, opening up to a vegetal side with bell peppers and lemon juice. The finish is lengthy with a bitter-charred quality, cigar ash, and minerality."
