Michter's US*1 Kentucky Straight Bourbon

Smooth, great balance. Honey and vanilla. Real good

Corn and oak on the nose at first. Not very spicy on first sip but there is a slight linger that lasts a while in the tongue. Oak continues through full taste with light hints of caramel. Not as complex as I had hoped and to me fell a little flatter than expected. Would drink again but not going out of my way.

Nose: sweet, apple, cinnamon Taste: apple pie, light pepper, light vanilla, white sugar, basic fruit Finish: medium, medium-long. Light apple version of buffalo trace's orange note

Plenty of oak and alcohol burn on the nose. Deep spicy wood flavor, pretty dry. The spice is maybe cinnamon medium to light body, I'm not getting the richness, but the cinnamon pops more on the tail. Excellent fall or winter whiskey.
