Michter's US*1 Sour Mash Whiskey

Dark copper/amber. Fair number of fast running legs. Nose is a bit hot for the proof, rye jumps out... mint, some baking spices, stone walled basement, vanilla, coconut and dark caramel. Thin mouthfeel, lots of sweetness up front. Sugar cookies, toffee, vanilla frosting and luxardo cherries. Moves quickly on to spice and barrel notes, but retains that sweetness throughout. Shorter finish with the vanilla lingering along with the spices and barrel char. Lacks dimension and depth but it is enjoyable.

Nose: Caramel, banana, cinnamon, brown sugar Taste: Cinnamon, brown sugar, corn, hints of fruits, sweet finish I like it!
