Montelobos Espadín Mezcal Joven

Smooth and Smokey, fresh and earthy a great way to end the day easy to sip on. Makes me think of the desert sunset.

Notas ahumadas, maguey, aromas evocan tierra mojada.

Smooth, very balanced

Rubbery smoke nose with hints of prosciutto, front is watery but transitions into more rubber smoke, citrus and salt. the tail is trailed by that smoke and is relatively smooth and short lived. pretty solid stuff

Fruity citrus nose with smoked meat undertones almost drowned out by the ethanol. Strong smoke meat taste approaching rubber. Smooth finish. Taste leaves quickly. Ok neat. Better in a mixed dring.

Not all too familiar with mezcals, so rating could change in the future, but in my novice opinion, this is to tequila what scotch is to whiskey.

Delicious. Very peaty. Goes down smoothly in mixed drinks too.Best smoky mezcal I've tasted to date. Hard to find in va abc stores but local bars can get it pretty easily.
