RyeUnlike bourbon, rye whiskey can be made anywhere in the world. But if made in the US, the mash bill recipe must be at least 51% rye and it must be aged in new, charred oak barrels with no age requirement. Elsewhere, the rye whiskey will be made keeping the country of origin's rules regarding the recipe and minimum aging.

Tasting Notes
"Initially the nose revealed a grassy rye profile along with some char smoke and oak. Letting it sit for a few minutes brings forth some apple and cherry notes as well. The rye is hearty on the palate and a bit intense. It feels smooth on the palate but the taste is moderately bitter. Not terribly dynamic and water doesn't help matters. Would prefer to see this blended with other grains. "
