RyeUnlike bourbon, rye whiskey can be made anywhere in the world. But if made in the US, the mash bill recipe must be at least 51% rye and it must be aged in new, charred oak barrels with no age requirement. Elsewhere, the rye whiskey will be made keeping the country of origin's rules regarding the recipe and minimum aging.

Tasting Notes
"The nose leans heavily on green herbs, pecan shells, tobacco leaves, and menthol with toasted oak and char smoke also in the mix. The rye is prickly and dry on the palate with toasted grain and natural rope flavors (cotton, straw). Would recommend adding some water to tame the heat. Flavors here are definitely more savory and spice-forward than sweet and fruity. But while the barrel finishes bring some interesting flavors, they overpower the whiskey. "
