New Riff 4 Year Single Barrel Bourbon

Bottle design is great. Juice inside... Not so much. Maybe it's just me or the barrel I got but this is sharp and thin and not much else. Has become a pretty expensive mixer.

Very carmel tasting. Vanilla followed by oak. Long finish. Pretty good bourbon coming from a craft distillery. Priced about right at $49.

Caramel

Nose is full of vanilla, orange, and candied nuts with a hit of alcohol. Taste is lightly spiced cereals, oak, corn, and light sweetness. Finish is tart and light with some burn.

Spicy and sweet with more flavors than something like Larceny or Woodford. Pecan praline, butterscotch, caramel, dark chocolate, vanilla. Compares favorably to EH Taylor.
