Reviewed January 16, 2021 (edited March 6, 2022)Nose is bbq smoked peat, ocean spray, and some meaty notes. Taste is typical Ardbeg bbq peat, heavy sea weed, sweet apples mixed with peanut dust. Finish is smoke for days and a touch of astringent. -
Templeton Rye 4 Year
Rye — Indiana (bottled in Iowa), USA
Reviewed December 15, 2020 (edited April 12, 2021)Nose is grass, rye spices, vanilla, and some subtle citrus. Reminds me of lime Coca-Cola. Taste is an extra spicey rye, some vanilla, woody tannins, and a hint of sweet. Finish is long for 80 proof with more rye spice. -
New Riff Maltster Malted Rye Bourbon
Bourbon — Kentucky, USA
Reviewed December 8, 2020 (edited April 27, 2021)Nose is vanilla, orange creamsicle, honey, and malt. Taste is spicey, malt, oak, and a touch of sweetness. Finish is full of rye spice and the alcohol heat finally shows up a bit. -

Reviewed December 2, 2020 (edited December 30, 2020)Nose is apricots, peanuts, chocolate candy, and cereal. Reminds me of a fresh bag of trail mix Taste is apricots, butterscotch, boiled peanuts, and some sour grains. Finish is buttery and clings to the tongue
