New Riff 4 Year Single Barrel Bourbon

Barrel 15-4905 distiller David Miller selection. 113.1 proof Nose: Apple, tobacco, caramel, sweet oak Taste: Does not drink like 113 proof. Sweet smooth vanilla caramel upfront that turns into dry spice, oak. Got a big rush of mint/spearmint when I first tried this. Finish lingers with dark sugar and vanilla. Dry spice lingers on the middle of the tongue.

Fresh bottle. Lots of spice. Finishes strong l. Solid, but nothing spectacular. Would buy again though.

The first scent which hits the nose is apple, followed by caramel and to a lesser extent vanilla. Palate - Red-hots is the first and by far strongest note Finish - A slightly biting, medium-length finish. Caramel comes through at the end. The youth is evident in this bourbon, but it has a strong profile for one only aged four years.
