Tasting Notes
"At cask strength, the nose is a bit shy but it opens up with further tastes to reveal an herbal tea quality along with toasted oak and a light vanilla scent. The body is average weight and while there is some heat from the proof, it's not too difficult to drink neat. Add water if you'd like to expose a touch more sweetness. Warm barrel spices are integrated well and the whiskey is on the dry and bittersweet side. More toasted oak appears as well. The wine and brandy casks don't make much of an impression here, but overall this is an interesting whiskey to try. "
