Nikka Whisky From the Barrel

Light golden bodied and thin. Nose of pears, flowers, Sherry, grass and citrus. Taste is complex- initially pear, honey, elderflower, and tea. Later leather, cocoa, and tobacco leaf with subtle hints of smoke, nutmeg and brine. It is truly an amalgam of different styles: the lighter scotches and their heavily peated counterparts both play a role with similarities to redbreast and green spot. It’s greatest strength is it’s balance

Rested for ~5 minutes. APPEARANCE: Light Amber, translucent Gold; NOSE: Subtle hints of fruit and smokiness; PALATE: Delicate floral; Sort of oily; No alcohol taste; Intense rush of fresh fruit; FINISH: Not a lingering finish; Beautiful.

飲み口は甘いが、あとからアルコールの尖った感じが来る。少し加水するとかなり強い刺激になる。 トワイスアップで飲み口がまろやかで甘い。

Still one of my favorites. Enjoyed on a virtual happy hour with @mikael @kpj @salvatore_at_distiller and @brent and look forward to being able to hang out with all these amazing people again once this is all over.
