Nose- honey, vanilla, and apple.
Palate- honey, oak and vanilla at the start. A salty sweetness is also present.
Finish- slight smoke and moderate peat to finish and a lingering sweetness of honey and plums.
Overall- A great highland whiskey that has a little bit for all scotch drinkers. The peat and smoke level is approachable for someone new to Scotch while providing a depth of flavor to those who like a little more than peat smoke. It does a lot of little things well without excelling at any one thing. A great whiskey to have on the shelf for any occasion.
