Oban Little Bay

I was expecting a little more sea salt. A smooth whisky to be sure.

Fruity, floral nose is inviting...bit of peat on the edges. Flavor is medium bodied...light fruit, wisp of smoke, hint of sea salt...this is one tasty dram. Sticker of $29.99 makes this one of the best purchases I've made in the past couple years

Sweet vanilla, hint of peat..

So I know this fetches a higher expert rating than the 14yr but it just doesn’t compare for me. Though both are listed as Peated neither carries a heavy peat note in aroma or flavor. This dram missed me first in the nose but really lost me in its thin body. The flavor is great and the finish is nice but I just wanted more.
