Old Forester 1870 Original Batch

Had at Lee’s Pint & Shell with Augy and Maggie the day we closed on our house!! Good, but a little sour/spent and bland.

Vanilla nose sweet pallet.

As a bourbon drinker I get the usual Caramel, dried dark fruit, oak flavours. As a Canadian I read about 1870 having a maple frosting on a donut, cocoa and some baking spice. And I found it quickly. Nice sweet maple flavour. Strong start with a soft delicate out. Gotta love OF products.
