Old Forester 1897 Bottled In Bond

Big oak nose. Cinnamon and wet coffee grounds. Some candied orange peel and nutty banana bread. Super oily mouthfeel - toasted brown sugar and tart apple at end. Long black pepper finish.

Very complex. A drop or two of water helps me unpack some of this. Plums, baking spice, butter and leather on the nose. Floral and almost zesty taste, with a long almost earthy finish. I’m not nuanced enough to fully appreciate this, but I love it

Nose: Cherry, raw pecans then candies pecan. Hint of over ripe apricot. Taste: Brown sugar. Dark cherry, leather. Finish is long and hot.
