Old Forester 1897 Bottled In Bond

The nose is welcoming with typical vanilla and caramel notes. There is a fruity element too The palate was herbal like Queen Annes lace meets chicory then gave way to vanilla and caramel The finish was fair with a decent Kentucky hug

This is money. There’s something missing in the middle.

Second time I tried it and I like it better this time. Nose: banana and fruit. It smells sweeter than it tastes. It is a more complex flavor with oak, fruit, and pepper . It is nice to have a not so sweet bourbon for a change of pace.
