It is a goid $30 bourbon. It is not quite as good as wild Turkey 101 but has a different profile. If you are a budget bourbon person ir is worth it. Great bottle design imho

It is complex and good but not my fav of Discovery series. Much better than 5. Strong brown sugar and then a little bit of a bite. Then it lingers (in a good way). I would like very much to be offered this whisky but I would not pay another $135. I will buy the next in the series.

A little maple syrup and a little bourbon. Best favor I have has since bardstown 3. Costly but good value compared to many bottles.

Very typical Rye. A little ethanol on the palette. If you like Rye and your $$, this is an affordable Rye.

Good nose. Very oaky on the palette-. Not very good. I bought it because “you can’t get it”.

14 year MGP at 74 abv. What is not to like. It was hot like bookers but the flavor in between the burn was very sweet and pleasant. I bought it for someone that likes cask strength and it did not disappoint.

One of my absolute favorite scotches. I thought the “neck pour” was ok but the second time we drank it- beautiful! Sweet fruit and spice. If you like MCCALLAN, this is a bit sweeter and just better.

Mash and Drum dude said it was better then Jameson. So I picked up a bottle. I would write that it is better then Jameson but it is still just OK. The buttery finish is definitely there for me. Please note that we drank Red breast first so that may have skewed my thoughts. Powers is definitely different then Red Breast. The big difference for me from Bourbon is Irish Whiskey (as a class) is more subtle then Bourbon. The word delicate is used quite a bit and I believe that is a good start. I like it but in a different way from Bourbon, Rye, and other whiskeys.

FWIW, I am not usually a RYE fan. I find most of them to be good when I do NOT want a sweet bourbon- but this is a different RYE and just a different flavor. I tried it twice in as many days. I love it. Very unique flavor profile. Smells like a very light pine and then maple syrup. First taste is a little strange but then as I sip it I love it more and more. The Rye plus the rum makes a very unique flavor. BTW, I had the Basil Hayden rum RYE and it was disgusting. Basil Hayden had rum added. The Angel’s Envy Rye should be tried.

My least favorite of all the discovery series. I never tried 4 or 1 but 2 and 3 were spectacular. The Tennessee Whiskey overwhelmed the flavor for me and made it taste Jack Daniels. A smooth Jack like single barrel but it was NOT $130 dollar bottle IMHO
