3.75 out of 5 stars
Glass: Glencairn, rested 15 minutes.
Color: Medium-dark amber.
Nose: Classic bourbon notes of caramel, apple, and vanilla.
Palate: Clove and cinnamon with some baking spice.
Finish: Medium length with medium heat.
Splash: A touch of mint appears.
Overall: 7.5/10 - I'm a fan of Old Forester in general, and this is my first time trying the BiB. At 100 proof would probably mix well or stand up to a large ice cube.
On the nose it's classic old forester. Char, banana, and brown sugar on the nose. The palate it very smooth and sweet with a nice cherry note to finish. A really good pour, but I still prefer the 1910 and 1920 over this expression.
I agree with the last rating but to add, sweetness in the forefront followed by alot of leather/oak ending with a tiny bit of heat. Its good, not great.
