Nose: straw, raisin, spearmint, bubblegum?
Palette: whia this is different for OF. Sweet, more bubblegum, sweet oak, banana, cotton candy, rye spice on the back end, mint, cedar, more tannins, caramel and some vanilla in the finish. But the nose on this is impeccable.
Giving this a 5 bc so many out there are complaining about it and it deserves a much better rating despite the price point. This tastes way better than the standard lineup. Example would be knob 12 vs knob 18. Knob 12 is awesome until you taste it next to knob 18. Knob 18 is much more refined. Same flavors amped up a bit and way less alcohol burn. This 1924 has almost no alcohol burn. The standard line up has a burn. So if price is your primary concern then avoid this one and enjoy the standard. Ignorance is bliss.
Flavor reminds me of a buttery older version of woodford double oaked.
Nose reminds me of maple syrup pancakes

Bourbon flight of this, Rabbit Hole Heigold, and Peerless Double Oak. This was my favorite of the 3. Lots of oak on the nose. I don’t get any banana, although a very slight hint of it does show up towards the finish. Spicy sweet, comes across as higher proof than it is with the spice. Woody caramel, some cherry, and the hint of banana. Really nice bourbon, although I’m not sure the value is there even at SRP to be worth chasing.
